Parlor: A New Way to Dine
Parlor: a home away from home, a collective space in heart of Kansas City. Centered in the Crossroads neighborhood, Parlor creates a unique space perfect for socializing, dining, and relaxing. Seven unique vendors provide an assortment of delicious plates and bites, with two bars creating artful cocktails and pouring craft beers. Fun, colorful murals – both inside and out – offer up all the photo opps while adding even more life to space.
The set up features two floors of exceptional spaces, as well as an additional floor that will be an event space. The first floor opens to the living room and den. Couches and chairs circle a cozy fireplace to create a warm, welcoming environment for socializing with friends. The study is perfect for plugging in, hunkering down, and getting work done (or a more intimate meeting). Upstairs, stadium style seats face a shuffleboard lane, perfect for a little competition. You can also step out onto the garden patio, where you can mingle, sip on a cocktail, and enjoy the KC skyline.
Dining options range from pizza and sandwiches to Scandinavian street food. The vendors (and options) are diverse and sure to satisfy. Personally, I recommend trying them all, even if that means making several trips!
The list of vendors includes:
- Sura Eats – Korean comfort food
- Karbón – Turkish food with a bit of fire
- Yaki-Ya – A new concept from Shio Ramen Shop
- Mother Clucker – Nashville Hot Chicken
- Farm to Market Sandwiches – A new concept from the local bread co. of the same name
- Vildhäst – Scandavian street food, korv, and sister restaurant to Krokstrom Klubb and Market
- Providence Pizza Co. – An expansion of the popular Grandview location, serving up a variety of pizza styles
Parlor puts a unique and unparalleled spin on dining out. With such an extraordinary space and diverse, local offerings, everyone is sure to enjoy the experience that is Parlor.
Be sure to check them out soon – the grand opening is Sept. 21!
