Join the CelebrAsian @ bd’s Mongolian Grill

Mongolian is one of my favorite types of food to get when eating out. I love everything about it from customizing and building my bowl to watching my food be prepared on the giant, round cook top. It’s amazing being able to create my own dish that matches my mood, which can be difficult for someone who is so indecisive!

One of my favorite Mongolian restaurants in the KC area is bd’s Mongolian Grill. Located at 95th and Quivira, it’s a great spot for lunch after a day of shopping or dinner with the family.

bd’s is currently celebrating its Asian origins by bringing in new, Asian inspired-ingredients. New menu items include traditional Roti bread, cucumber wasabi dressing, thai satay sauce, Mongolian chili beef (great for those who love a kick of flavor!), and teriyaki marinated chicken! With so many new ingredients joining the already flavor-packed menu, everyone is sure create a tasty stir-fry.

Another great feature at bd’s is the recipes they provide. For someone like me, who has the hardest time making a decision, having a “recipe” can be a lifesaver. They range from “Deliciously Daring” Paella to “Bold Bites” Kung Pao Beef. As a part of their new, Asian-inspired menu, they’ve added two new recipes to the mix: Teriyaki Chicken and Mongolian Chili Beef.

  • Teriyaki Chicken: Teriyaki chicken, Lo Mein noodles, pineapple, carrots, pepper medley, water chestnuts, mushrooms, pea pods in Thai Satay, and Teriyaki sauce.
  • Mongolian Chili Beef: Mongolian chili beef, rice noodles, bean sprouts, broccoli, jalapeños, green peppers, onions, and baby corn in Kung Pao Sauce.
  • Traditional Eggrolls are another delicious menu item, filled with pork and paired with an Asian dipping sauce (or Thai sweet chili sauce, if you’re me).

Both recipes were fantastic! They also leave room for a bit of customization (if you so choose!). My sister added a touch of soy and some carrots to the Mongolian Chili Beef recipe and loved it – it was a perfect pair for all that heat!

I’d also have to recommend the Rumchata Colada as a drink pairing. It was delicious, creamy, and a perfect summer drink! It has a hint coconut and orange flavors that bring the drink together!

I recommend trying out Mongolian if you haven’t already – these new menu items alone would make a worthwhile trip!

I would definitely go for the Mongolian Chili Beef! Can’t wait to try this place! You are spot on when you say Mongolian BBQ places give you the opportunity to build your meal based on your mood! Some of my favorite food! Thanks for sharing.
